Helal Uddin, Class 5

Peralbari 2 Government Primary School

Helal lives in a small village of Panchagarh with his grandparents, aunt and uncle. His parents separated when he was a baby and his father does not keep in touch, while his mother left to start a new family recently. His grandmother, Sakina, takes care of him and depends on his grandfather, who works as a day laborer breaking stones to provide for them.

Shubhashujon Jahangirnagar Government Primary School

Najmin lives in a small village of Panchagarh with her mother and grandmother. Her father left her when she was a baby to start a new family and does not keep in touch. Her mother, Nur, looks after her and depends on her grandmother, who works in nearby houses to provide for the family.

Jot-Shahebu Government Primary School

Rakib and his two siblings live in a small village of Panchagarh with their grandparents. His parents separated when he was a baby and his father left them to start a new family while his mother does not keep in touch. His grandmother, Anoyara, takes care of them and works as a farmer to provide for the family.

Bhojonpur Government Primary School

Ritu and her younger sister live in a small village of Panchagarh with their grandmother, aunt and uncle. Her father left them when she was a baby and does not keep in touch. Her grandmother, Akina, takes care of them and depends on her mother, who lives separately and works in a sewing factory to provide for the family.

Scholarship Eligibility

Only students who are currently enrolled in Government Primary Schools and fall under any
of the following criteria are eligible to apply
for scholarships

Disabled Father

Student's father is physically unable to work

Single Mother

Student's father is deceased or has abandoned the family

Orphan

Both parents are deceased or have abandoned the child
